Prior to moving to Whitefish Montana in 2007, Mark Van Everen spent 15 years of his career building homes outside of Boulder Colorado. During this time, he concentrated on building custom homes with an eye for energy efficiency and high-performance construction. Upon moving to Montana, Mark continued building custom homes with this interest in mind, but after getting involved in the Home Energy Raters (HERS) network and obtaining certification with the Building Performance Institute, he expanded his scope of services to include residential building failure analysis. Mark’s portfolio includes single, multi-family and heirloom projects. His 25 years in the home construction and remodel business for energy efficiency and Green homes, has brought numerous awards and recognition as well as the opportunity to participate in market transformation programs designed to lift the overall quality of residential construction.
